Making the video you've always dreamed of making doesn't mean you have to break the bank.

Of course, expertly shot Film and High Definition (HDTV) can cost a lot.

Or, to save some dough, you could do it yourself. These days, people are making TV commercials using the camera in their cell phone. Even the latest consumer video cameras use HDTV technology. Hey, if you think you can do it, go for it. Seriously.

I understand the trend. For years, I used to organize shoots with lots of crew members. Eventually, however, I realized the productions where I received the best reaction, and ultimately the most satisfaction, were the ones shot by just "me and a cameraman" put together by just "me and my editor".

I still hire the best production and post production people when necessary, but to save my clients a few extra bucks, I often shoot and edit myself. Better cameras, combined with more sophisticated editing software, faster processors and bigger hard drives -- each of which are cheaper than they used to be -- make attaining top quality production values less expensive than ever. This startling fact makes the project of your dreams possible.

So, sure, you can hire a huge crew. Or, you can do it yourself. Or, you can hire me. If you think you might need a little help deciding which way to go, I'm here for you.
